Why does my Tello not appear in wifi / network options?

If your device is not showing the Tello drone you want to connect to, try resetting the drone.

Tello drones were shipped with Coding with Drones, Drone Designers, and Ready, Set, Drone! 2nd Edition programs prior to 2023.

Tello drones may occasionally not appear as an option within the wifi / network options on a device.

If you can't connect to the Tello:

  1. Try unplugging the Tello's battery and plugging it back in.
  2. If the Tello is still not available to connect, factory reset the drone.
    1. Turn on the Tello and wait for the lights to flash yellow.
    2. Press and hold the power button until the indicator light turns off, about 5-10 seconds.
    3. The drone will automatically reboot and reset its wifi SSID and password to factory defaults.
    4. Once the Tello automatically reboots, try connecting again.
